Ryder Cup RJCC/ROC 2016 Results

The 3rd Annual Memorial Ryder Cup hosted 11 Divisions and 161 registrations in Durham, NC this past weekend. Metrics comparing the 2015 RJCC (Regional Junior and Cadet Circuit) portion of the event showed participation growth up 92% from 2015. The addition of the ROC (Regional Open Circuit), specializing in one event, Durham location, facility, and reputation of event organizers were reported as critical reasons for this increase in participation. Medieval Longsword Classes

Medieval Longsword is Mid-South’s newest program exploring the art of swordplay for those ages 16 or older.  HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) is a rapidly growing martial arts movement which rediscovers various forms of historical fighting arts through research, active experimentation, and competition. Priority on Youth Tournament Series 2013 Launches Saturday

Mid-South Fencers Club annual Priority on Youth Tournament Series launches Saturday, August 24.  For the past 5 years this tournament series has provided a positive competitive environment allowing fencers from across the southeast to test their skills, grow, improve, and have FUN.  Priority on Youth Fencers have gone on to compete and win medals at numerous USA Fencing North American Cups and USA Fencing National Championships. Memorial Weekend Fencing Club Hours

Mid-South will be open on the normal schedule for Friday May 24 and Saturday May 25.  The club will be closed Monday, May 27 in observance of Memorial Day.   Friday club hours are 5:30pm until 10:00pm, and Saturday club hours are 8:30am until Noon.  Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend!
