The Mid-South Fencers’ Club was founded in 2004 in order to further the Olympic sport of fencing in North Carolina and the Southeastern United States. The club’s coaching staff bring a current international perspective to fencing in the area, and strive to build a sense of community and cooperation with other clubs throughout the region.
Since the opening of it’s facility in downtown Durham in 2008, the club has grown to support two full-time coaches, a fitness trainer and two part-time coaches. We teach all three styles of the modern Olympic sport: saber, foil and epee. As long as you can zip up a zipper and tie your own shoes, we have beginner classes and camps to offer. Regardless of your age or experience, if you are looking for that new sport, something that can challenge you in unknown ways, you might be looking in the right spot. We challenge, inspire and create fencers in a fun and dynamic environment.
If you have fenced before, please contact us so we can inform you on the best times to participate. We welcome visitors and guests daily! Our competitive camps in the Winter and Summer have participants from other clubs all over the country. We strive to make our environment competitive, fun and friendly. Welcome!
