Eight Fencers Selected to Compete at National Championships

July 2, 2021 by joldham Leave a Comment

Philadelphia, PA – Eight members of Mid-South Fencers’ Club are set to compete over the July 4th holiday at USA Fencing’s annual National Championships. The last National Championships Mid-South competed in was in 2019 where thirty competitors represented our team. This will be the last competitive event where competitors will fence under the Mid-South name.

The club adapted during the pandemic by practicing outdoors at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The team has been undergoing changes in order to better support our region’s rapid growth and diverse population.

Good luck competitors! Follow team results live here or follow the action on Coach Jen’s Instagram.

David Fort – CDTMS

Phoebe Todd – CDTWS, JNRWS

Cathleen Randall – V50WS

Carl Badger – V60MS

Joe Mclaughlin – V60MS

Tammy Jackson – V60WF

Tyson Deck – Y14

Anna Schikore – Div2WS, Div 3WS

The staff would like to thank the community for their ongoing support during the pandemic transitions.  To watch our club’s evolution  Follow Ask Coach Jen on YouTube or subscribe to our newsletter.
