We love North Carolina! Mid-South Fencers’ Club is proud to partner with local schools and organizations to bring our exciting and unique approach to the sport of Olympic fencing into the greater community.
We have active after-school enrichment programs with Durham Academy Middle School, Durham Academy Lower School, & School for Creative Studies. Our summer camp program have included: Durham Academy, The Duke School, and Cary Academy.
These outreach programs expose hundreds of students each year to the sport of Olympic fencing where participants are able to enjoy learning this amazing sport in a safe, fun, and supportive atmosphere fostering personal growth, physical fitness, and confidence! Please contact individual schools for program registration.
Interested in bringing fencing to your school?
Mid-South Fencers’ Club stays active in the community and we are passionate about helping to bring fencing to your school or organization. Please contact Head Coach Jennifer Oldham to learn more about our outreach program.
A Fencing Demonstration is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about this exciting Olympic sport. Fencing has a way of capturing the imagination and can lead to a fun and exciting experience for the participants. Our coaching staff is talented in presenting the sport of fencing to any group and will customize the presentation to your audience. Program topics can include; fencing history, modern sword-fighting, the Olympic movement, goal setting, overcoming challenges, self improvement, leadership development, and more! Mid-South regularly visits schools throughout the Triangle area. To schedule a demo at your school or organization, contact Jeff Kallio.
