Olympic Fencing in Durham, NC

Team Prepared for 2020 Junior Olympic Championships

Congratulations to the Mid-South fencers who qualified and will travel to Columbus, Ohio on the weekend of February 14-17th to participate in the 2020 Junior Olympic Championships:

Sky Miller (Senior, Durham School of the Arts) Sky holds an A19 classification with USA Fencing and is ranked 12th in the nation in Junior Women’s Saber.

Iman Tucker (Junior, Panther Creek High School) Iman holds a B19 classification with USA Fencing and is ranked 48th in the nation in Cadet Women’s Saber.

Anna Schikore (Sophomore, Apex Friendship High School) Anna holds a E19 classification.

Kevin Zhou (Sophomore, Chapel Hill High School) Kevin holds a B19 classification with USA Fencing and is ranked 65th in the nation in Cadet Men’s Saber.

Phoebe Todd (Freshman, Riverside High School) Phoebe holds an E20 classification with USA Fencing.

Connor Woodward (8th grade, Voyager Academy) Connor holds a B19 classification with USA Fencing and is ranked 74th in the nation in Cadet Men’s Saber.

Athletes competing this weekend will be coached by Jeff Kallio. Preliminary seedings and LIVE Results can be found here.  Good luck team!
